My Spouse and I have not been together for about 5 years. Last May she filed for divorce and full custody of our 2 children. She made a lot of false accusations about me, at that time both of us had no attorney. I consulted with a paralegal friend and filed all necessary paperwork. We went to court for Temporary Orders and my spouse did not file any affidavits, she requested a continuance to get an attorney, we went back to court and still no affidavits. I was granted temporary custody of out two children, and at this point in time she only has "supervised visitation." We have a guardian at litum involved in the case. To make a long story short, we both got attorneys and hers has since withdrew from the case, she has asked for another continuance to get an attorney, it was granted, that was two months ago. we are scheduled to go to court April 27th, and I am being told by my attorney that the judge will likely continue the case to allow her more time to get an attorney! She says that the judge will not allow this to continue with her not having representation? is this true, and what can the judge do to make her get an attorney? what if she refuses?
