Forget it. It has no monetary value. You are just being a jerk.

If you used parts of the national logo, then any lawyer can argue that you created a derivative work without permission and you are the copyright infringer. Your work is thus not copyrightable.

I doubt you have the money to take this to court for a declaratory judgment. And if you do, the result will be the judge laughing you out of court. They probably will get an award of attorney fees and costs against you, and maybe even sue you for copyright infringement and abuse of process.

It will be a very expensive pissing contest.

Why don't you offer to license it to them for a fee? Anything you get would be better than nothing. Otherwise, denying them use while you get no benefit from your work is just cutting off your nose to spite your face. Of course I do that all the time, and then I just walk around with a noseless spited face...
