Regardless of my reasons, I am going to fall short on a required Mortgage payment of $1539/mo and $1350/mo spousal support to my ex. I do however make the $1777.85/mo child support. The mortgage pmt will not be made. The spousal support will be a portion but not al full pmt. I am sure I will have a civil warrant issued for not paying. I am overseas and can not come back for a court case without losing my job. I am considering letting things go and when I return hire an attorney and fight my case. It is in NC. I do not have an attorney and can not get one that will take my case while I am overseas. No doubt I will have this civil warrant issued. What am I facing and any suggestions?

Thanks,

Are the reasons that you cannot pay the full amounts due to an INVOLUNTARY situation?
If it is, notify your ex of the problem, and pay what you can then make up the arrears as soon as possible.

IF you have been current until now, it's unlikely that a waarant would be issued for 1 missed payment.

The worst thing to do will be to ignore the situation, do NOT do that, it will cause you big problems.
