My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: ohio
I left my job for several reasons the biggest being I was forced to work in direct violation of osha just to work on a daily basis. Well need less to say my boss came back with bogus info and the battle went on and on. i left and filed on 10/20/08 i was givin my benifits on 2/20/09. needless to say i was broke. i am still recovery and not quit were i need to be. all my back pay went to my great friends and family that bailed me out. anyway my boss keep reverting back to the one and only document he sent in which was a copy of a handbook and a piece of paper i signed when hired stating i recieved it. two problems with that, the copy he sent in wasnt even the one i had signed for and it didnt cover my main problem only one of my minor issues. well after actually getting to speak to someone on the phone mt ex-boss forgot his lies he had been telling all along and told the truth going against everything he had sent in and the hearing offical awarded me with benifits. my ex-boss has since filed against my claim and was rejected. my question is since he was sending in false documents which keep me from getting my benifits all along and i have the hearing recorded for proff of this can i sue for damages? i nearly lost everything i had over those months i was back and forth with him and unemployment. the company is a massive worldwide company that i worked at a local branch of. any advice? thanks
