My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Connecticut
I live in Connecticut, which is a mother state. I'm the non-custodial parent, and every time that I've gone to modify the visitation due to changes in work hours, etc, I've always had to walk out of the court with less time with my son. My child's mother is always preventing me from seeing my son, or shows up late during pick up and drop off, and allows my five year old son to decide whether or not he wishes to come to my house when my court ordered time comes up. Since I'm paying child support, and supporting a family, I'm not able to provide the same entertainment that the mother can, and he always wants to stay with her (movies every weekend, video games, buys him lots of toys, takes him to amusement parks, etc).
I've recently married (a year ago) and my wife has a child from a previous relationship with an uninvolved father. I've found that the court where I'm living now is more equal towards mothers and fathers, and I'm curious if it would be possible to have a change of venue (change the court), and what arguments would best convince the judge to allow the change of venue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
