My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Georgia

I received a summons last month saying I am being sued by a CA for an old credit card debt. The debt is beyond the statute of limitations in Georgia (4 and 6 years, depending which law the courts in this state are going by this month). I filed an answer with the court two weeks later. Unfortunately, I don't have any material evidence other than my credit report, through two different company's. The debt has gone through a couple of different CA's since it went into default and the original bank is no longer listed on my credit report. Aren't bad debts taken off of your credit reports after seven years?

How likely am I to win in court with the little evidence that the debt is beyond Georgia's SOL?

Thanks in advance for your help.
