Default Served with 24 Hour Notice; Moving in a Few Days

    Hi All. State of Florida

We received our 24 hour eviction posted on our door this morning giving us 24 hours (until tomorrow morning) to leave. Well, we are planning on being out of the apt. by Friday morning @ 9a.m.

Now, I KNOW we were served with the notice BY the sheriff and they CAN come back. Legally yes they can and will kick us out.

My question is...does anyone know if they literally & automatically come back like clockwork or does our landlord have to come by & THEN call the police...etc...

Yes, the landlord has keys to our apt. Yes we both work tomorrow at the time in which we are supposed to be out.

No, there's NO WHERE we can go or put our stuff until Friday b/c that's when we get paid.

Think we'd be okay until Friday morning? I doubt communicating with her at this point would do any good, we decided to go ahead & get a default judgment b/c we had to pay other expenses for my daughter & it was either that or pay the rent we owed..so we made the arrangments to move.... I guess we could attempt to ask the landlord if we can stay until Friday & then I can meet her to bring her the keys...but I will not hold my breath. She could care less about us, rightfully so.

    Any ideas? Thanks!!

    It's Florida, Pinellas County

No...Friday will not cut it. You were given official notice from the Sheriff's Department....expect your stuff to be hauled off to the curb by 9:00am Thursday morning.

Put your stuff in storage asap....you should have the money for storage since you haven't paid for your rent.

Unless you get assurance to the contrary from the Sheriff's Department, you should expect that they will evict you at the earliest possible moment. They may take longer, but there's no way to know that unless they tell you. But even if you ask, there's no guarantee that they'll give you a timeframe beyond the notice you've received.
