My question involves a background check in the State of: Texas
My 19year old son wants to be an EMT/Paramedic. When he was twelve, he was caught trying to sell marijuana at school. He pleaded no contest, did his probation and community service, and has not been convicted of any crime since. Will his juvenile record be examined when a background check is conducted for employment as an EMT? We don't want him to go to school for this only to be disappointed and left without possibility of a job when he's finished.
