    Default Letter of Objection

I have recently been sued by a creditor who bought out my deliquent account from Discover. The original debt was $9,000. As soon as they took over the account they raised the debt to $17,000. Now, they are saying that the $8,000 difference is to cover interest fees and legal fees. I am supposed to file a letter of objection with the court. My question is, "How can I write a letter of objection?" and, "Should I write it on my own, or hire an attorney to do it for me?"

    Default Letter of Objection

Given the amount of money involved, I personally would consult a lawyer. What would you write? Court procedures vary by state.
