My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: CA
I was denied my unemployment benefits and I want to appeal this decision. The letter sent to my home is not that clear as to why. But It looks like there was 2 reasons.
First reason: I didn't answer the phone call for the interview. I was home, but I was upstairs changing my 4 month old son and my phone was downstairs. I rushed down there but I just did make it in time and the call went to voice mail. The caller did not leave a call back number or even try to call again. I'm also sure your very aware that is impossible to call the 800 number.
2nd reason: It appears to that they think my school makes my unavailable and unable to work. This is not the case at all. My class is an open lab class where I come in an work at my own pace at night. I don't have to be there every night. I can do most of my work from home online. And, if it come down to getting a job or losing it because of this class, I will quit the class.

One more thing. What do I do now? Do I re-file for unemployment? Will I recieve another claim form?
