My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Missouri
Trying to get info on what steps I need to take for the following. Few of the guys I have worked with have noticed that we possibly are not getting paid proper overtime when they looked at their paystubs. We get paid twice a month, and the pay period runs from 1st-15th and 16th to the end of the month. Have noticed this happens more when there are split weeks, and somehow they try to pay us straight pay for the OT we should be receiving. Main thing for me is I am sure that has happened to me, have been with company for around 7 years, however I don't really have that many paystubs. So what steps are we able to take to see if we are entitled backpay for this?
Also, I started on the company as part-time employee. Within a few years, went full-time and think I was still receiving part-time pay instead of the higher full-time pay rate they offer. In addition, don't think I received my raise sooner than I should have. That goes by the amount of time you have been there. Think may have been underpaid by .50 to $1 a hour for quite some time. So guess if any info on this and/or the past question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
