My question involves criminal law for the state of:Missouri I was caught on camera putting food in my purse at Wal Mart. I put it back before leaving the store, was stopped outside by an employee but I just left my cart and went on to my car and told them I didn;t have anything of theirs. I was stopped by the police and brought back to the store to a back room where they saw me put somethng back on video but couldn't tell what it was and when I tried to find the stuff in the store it wasn't there. The employee was very nice but the police said he was turning it over the prosecutor anyway and they would decide whether to file charges. He said he had to chase me down but he wasn't there when I left so I didn;t know until I saw him and pulled over. Can charges be filed without the store cooperation?
