    Default Caught for Petty Theft

Okay so this past weekend I took an item that was no more than $6.00. Since it was from a Fry's Electronics Store, the LP said that he had to press charges considering it's a privately owned company. So i received a ticket for my court date, stating it was petty theft and it was a misdemeanor. The only thing I am worried about is them taking into consideration my juvenile record that i have a misdemeanor on. He said that since its my first offense on my adult record that i should just get a fine and stuff, does anybody know how much it is?

It depends on your state and local policies. For some reason you chose to ignore the instruction to identify your state. Court assessments will probably be somewhere between $500 and $1,500. Ask a local lawyer.
