My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Kent, Washington
I am not on the lease boyfriend in jail I am collecting mail there have lived there for months and the landlady knows Rodger wanted me there while he was/is to be incarcerated. She accepted $800.00 back rent from me and wrote down my birth date social security number and name so as to add me to the lease I was lead to believe. It is an old apartment complex cleaned up and turned into privately owned "condominiums". She came in and unlocked the door with her key and gave me 5 minutes to leave because of my having company she said. She called management and had my power turned off and changed my door locks and mail box key so I am locked out. All in the dead of winter. The phone is still on and in my name there. WHAT/WHO CAN HELP ME. Again I am on disability and she knows this also. All of it. [No Personally Identifying Information. Thanks, the Management]. This lady accepts section 8 from my boyfriend but "the association", she calls it does not accept low income people or section 8 recipients to rent or buy from these 95% privately owned establishment. Please help ASAP.
