My question involves traffic court in the State of: California
My license is from: Colorado
I just received a letter in the mail suggesting that the California DMV is going to suspend my Colorado license due to having received 4 tickets in that state (the only state where I've received tickets) in the past 12 months. My questions are:
Can they do that? Out-of-state tickets do not put points on my Colorado license according to their DMV data, so the amount of points California claims I have is inaccurate to the location of my license.
If it is legitimate, what can I do to halt/modify this? I desperately need to be able to drive for work, which will frequently send me to random places with little to no warning. A restricted license might not be able to work with it, but a provisional license would be fine.
Any advice? Thank you...
