My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: CA
I am inquiring about traffic school in regards to a 22349(a) speeding ticket. It seems that I meet the qualifications to go to traffic school.
My understanding is that if you attend traffic school, your insurance premiums will not go up and you will not receive points on your DMV record...is this correct?
Also, if I decide to contest my ticket through written declaration or Trial de novo, can I lose my option to go to traffic school? In other words, can the judge take away that option as a result of contesting the ticket?
Lastly, I had a ticket about 8 years ago and I don't remember having to pay the court for the right to attend traffic school...has something changed?
