Default Warrant Issued for Violation of Probation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado

I was arrested for my first DUI two years ago and did 30 days in jail. I was also ordered to do 60 hours community service, 1 year of alcohol classes, attend a MADD seminar, and pay some fines. I was unable to complete the community service or alcohol classes on time and now I have a warrant out for my arrest. What can I do? Will I end up back in jail? Should I do my community service and alcohol classes even though the time limit is up?

You're going to need to do your community service and classes sooner or later, so you may as well get started. Whether starting will save you from doing some time in jail, due to your failure to fulfill your obligations while on probation? That's not something I can answer for you.

If you did 30 days in jail for the DUI, it may well have been your first DUI but it's very unlikely that you don't have a record. Your entire record will factor into the court's decision.
