Exclamation Illegal Immigrant Marrying an US Citizen

I came to USA as a tourist 10 years ago, but i never went back to my country. My husband is US citizen. Should I go back to my country to legalize my status or i can get my paper work done from here??

Default Re: Illegal Immigrant Marrying an US Citizen

There are many threads in this form addressing this question.

If you leave you will be subject to a lengthy period of ineligibility to reenter the United States - you've overstayed by more than a year, so you would be looking at a ten year period of ineligibility. If you aren't planning on spending your married life in your nation of origin, you should seek to adjust your status while remaining in the United States.
