Default What Should I Expect for a Settlement After My Accident

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Arizona
I was in a car accident and I thought my car would be totaled out it cost about 15,000-16,000 dollars to fix and my medical bills are around 12,000 dollars, and I have memory loss and back and neck pain still ongoing the memory loss caused me to lose my job. The person who hit me was uninsured, I have uninsured coverage and filed a uninsured motorist claim and will be hearing from my insurance company soon because they were not insured I will be receiving a settlement from my own insurance company for my personal injury settlement what is a reasonable amount I should accept for my injuries as a settlement because I still am going to need to see more doctors and is there a settlement I can receive for the diminished car value after the accident what should I do and how should I do it and how much should I expect. HELP!!

What has your attorney said about your impending settlement?

You really might want to get an attorney to help see that you get a fair/reasonable settlement.

i used a lawyer in 2 of my 4 accidents, i actually did better without one, if you know what your policy limit is. they wont want to settle on the injurys until you are finished with doctors treatment. then depending on scars, etc. figure absolute MINIMUM of 3 to 5 times medical bills as settlement. if you have the coverage much more if you have lasting injuries. such as scars or limp etc.and the insurance co will work with you. if the person had no insurance, the odds are he doesnt have anything you can get. such as lien on his house etc. thats the only issue a lawyer is helpful for. you have to figure the attorney is a minimum of 1/3 for doing almost nothing, if he has to go to court he is going to get close to 1/2. take that into consideration. what your policy limit is, matters a lot.also DONT USE a CHIROPRACTOR, as your doctor..

It's your choice. If you feel comfortable with the settlement offered (believe it is reasonable & fair), you can certainly settle w/o an attorney. Some people prefer/feel more comfortable using an attorney.
