    Unhappy Illegal Commercial Lockout

My question involves an eviction in the state of: North Carolina

My landlord locked me out of my commercial property because I complained of constant building problems and was for the first time late 7 days on rent. I've been in the property for 4 years and he is a new owner since 8 months ago. I have a new 3 year lease with him. He has since pressured me telling me that he could get someone to rent the building even in the condition it is in, and I need to fix whatever I need because he is not. He is not from the US and I think he thinks he can do whatever he pleases. He has illegally locked me out, refused my rent and given me improper notice to quit my lease. He didn't file any type of summary ejectment, he just tried to do it himself.I tried to call the police department and visited the sheriff and was told they only get residential tenants back into their property and I would have to contact an attorney. I did file a Small Claim for $5000.00 for damages for loss of use and to regain possession of property. The landlord was served but did not let me regain entry. He has not re-leased the building yet, but I know he wants to even before court. How/What can I file in District Court to recoup all of my damages ($20,000+) and to regain immediate entry of the property? I know that his attorney has now asked to continue the case so it will be 3 months before my case will even be heard. I tried contacting the NC Legal Aid for 6 weeks and get no answer. I'm told they are low funded and I will have to keep trying. 8 of my employees have been affected by this, including my own income. Although it is the recession, at least my business was able to make at least some profits. What are all the things I can sue for and is there a site that can help me with just the format for filing? Any help is appreciated. I will be able to afford an attorney for the District Court case in a few weeks but I need to see what I can file now.
