If someone on parole was suspected of a crime by police (not arrested at time) and the police ran the persons info , would they see the person is on parole and notify their PO or would the PO only find out when a warrant is put out for them?
It may depend on the state.

In California, the parole office should be automatically notified if their "client" had his name run through CLETS. law enforcement is expected to send a "parolee contact" report or notice to the parole office via CLETS (our electronic telecommunication system) if a parolee is contacted.
