My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Texas
My husband and I are going to be filing Chapter 7. We are way over our heads in credit card debt- I used them mostly to stay current on bills...
We have a small pop-up camper that we owe about $4000 on. NADA is listed at $6250. I have asked our Bankruptcy Lawyer how we can keep it. If we "sell" it (to someone we know), we will have to pay the difference between payoff and value. If we just find a way to pay it off, we will have to do the same. He said something about someone else making the $140 monthly payment, but we cannot pay them back because we will not have that money left over after our paying back our other debtors. Know what I mean?? Any advice on how we can keep our only form of entertainment, our beloved pop-up??
