I'm 16. I've pretty much been living on my own for 7 months with two of my housemates. I didn't have to pay rent because I couldn't legally get a job at 15, well I could've but it would've been extremely stressful and hard. All I did for rent was clean the house and go to school.
I dropped out of school and started looking for a job when I turned 16. I realized that I couldn't get a job because I needed a work permit so I applied to PCCS, an independent studies program, in order for me to get a job permit. Then one of my friends told me about Beach High School and that you could buy your diploma for $285. It's a completely legal and legit diploma. So I started working towards that.
My plan was:
1. Buy my diploma.
2. Get a full-time job.
3. Rent out a room w/ someone.
4. Save money so I can go to cosmeotology school.
That is my plan.
But I was wondering if emancipating myself from my gaurdians should be a step in my plan.
I mean, I've had a really bad relationship with my aunt and uncle resulting in me stealing money from them to support myself and my selfish needs (no drugs). I've been kicked out more than four times.
1. Because I was gay.
2. Because I stole $500.
3. Because I stole $1000 or more.
4. Because I came back and me and my aunt weren't getting along because she wanted every single little aspect about myself to change.
Therefore leading to my situation now.
Shit happens, but I want to know how to free myself from my guardians bonds.
Help?
