    Default At Will

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: ca.

okay, i was let go and they used the at will on me. now i was a mid level supervisor, had reported my bosses niece for some serious allegations, which were never investigated, we were short staffed and i was terminated without cause, just at will and never offered a different position. never been written up or diciplined, not even did they give me an evaluation during my 2 years with the company. is this legal?

    Yes. It is.

Reporting the boss's niece is not protected unless she was in violation of the law, and even then not always. (Violating company policy does NOT count.)

There is no law requiring that they offer you a different position.

There is no law requiring that they write you up or discipline you before you can be fired.

There is no law that requires that they provide you with a performance evaluation.
