My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Colorado
Hello, I recently went to a payroll seminar and they said that for my record keeping my non-exempt and exempt employees were required to record and track hours. Is this really true for a professional corporation in the State of Colorado? I know if they work over-time they need to turn that in to me but for regular 40 hour work weeks do I really need to keep track of every hour/every day/every week? They said if I didn't have a form signed by the employee that I could be fined if audited. If anyone knows about this please help! Thank you in advance!
