My question involves criminal law for the state of: MICHIGAN
In 2006, my boyfriend caught a criminal charge for selling drugs to the police.
He was put on probation but did not comply with the terms & went back to jail about a year ago.
After leaving jail, he was sentenced to a halfway house. I would visit my boyfriend once a week while he was there.
One day the supervisor would not let me see my boyfriend during visitor hours. My boyfriend called me & told me to wait out front. He walked out of the halfway house & got in my car.
I freaked out but drove off with him anyway.
Obviously, he had violated his probation once again.
This happened about a year ago in 2008.
However, he was arrested today (March 3, 2009) for this violation.
Three Questions:
1. What will happen to him? This is his second violation.
2. If his court fines are all paid off, will that make a difference?
3. Could I be considered an accomplice?
I have never gotten caught doing anything illegal with my boyfriend, but I was wondering if it is relevant that my boyfriend got in MY car when he left the halfway house.
