My question involves personal property located in the State of: Colorado
I was planning to sell a car to an acquaintance. She was to pay car insurance, plus work for me 4 times per month. We credited her $100 1 out of every 4 times she worked. Each time she worked was equivilent to $100. After a series of events, I needed to fire her. I told her that she would either need to pay for the car or relinquish it. I told her she needed to pay the insurance plus the $400 a month = totalling $600 a month.
We never signed anything or put it in writing; we exchanged a few emails about it -- mostly me telling her to return the car and what she owed.
She refuses to pay, and will not give the car back.
What are my options? Can I just go take the car? The title is in my name and I pay insurance on it. Can I report it to the police as stolen? She no longer has permission to be driving it and won't pay anything on it.
