Default New Jersey Sales Commission After Termination

My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: New Jersey

I was hired as a sales manager and later terminated by a small, family owned business. My dispute its that a partial bonus should have been paid for my work. In fact, we had a written agreement that said: "...Either party has the right to terminate the relationship with 30-days written notice; in ’0x and beyond, partial bonuses to be paid based on months served...."

Should I file this in special civil court or NJ Dept. of Labor & Workforce Development Division of Wage and Hour Compliance?

Also, what is the time-limit of each to file?
    thanks in advance

Make a wage complaint. If they determine it's not within their jurisdiction, they will tell you.
