Default Possession of Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio

    Hello there,

I pulled over at K-mart parking lot to use Visine. 2 minutes later, there was a cop asking what was I doing. I told him that am trying to put eye drops and about to use my GPS to go to my destination which was a lie. The officer told me to hold on a minute. He came out of the car and told me that he smells weed. I knew I was in trouble, I was honest with him and told him I had almost half blunt in the car. He takes me to his car and does paper work. He lets me go with a court date on March 5, 2009. two charges: Possession of drugs ( Marijuana) M-M 2925.11, and Drug Paraphernalia M-4 2925.14.

Can someone please explain what will happen to my license status. I also attend University of Dayton. I was wondering if UD will be notified about this even though it was 20 mins away from campus. will go to jail?

Please help me because I don't get any of this.

    Thanks in advance.

Hire an attorney, he or she can see what they can do to get the charge reduced.

Oh to answer if you will got to jail, an MM is not punishable by jail time, and an M-4 is punishable by up to 30 days. Possible jail time, yes, however, jail time is really not in the picture except if you have a bad record.
