    Default Holding Out As Married - What Does That Mean

    Holding out as married - what does that mean? Can you also give an example of what it is NOT please? Thanks!

    It means presenting yourself to the public as married.

    Simply living together isn't enough. You need to also refer to each other as "my husband/wife", "my spouse", and conduct your financial affairs together as if you were legally married.
