My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Washington

I am the primary guardian of our 2 children and my EX picks them up for 1 overnight every 2 weeks. Our court order allows him 2 overnights but he chooses to bring them home Sun. night instead of mon morning. He also gets 2 weeks during the summer.

He is moving to CA in a few months. He is moving for a job opportunity. He stated he is going to request the whole summer and some of the breaks.
Our kids are 2 (almost 3) & 5. I don’t mind him having visitation of course but I don’t want to give up the whole summer and they would not want to be away for that long. I think my plan would be better for the kids.

alternate thanksgiving week
1 week of the Christmas break
he can have every spring break
And 2 non-consecutive two week summer visits
And his mother can have 1 overnight every month (she lives here)
and of course he can see them whenever he comes up here. (his family and his girlfriends family are up here)

Is his request commonly granted. I just don’t think a long block would be good for them, especially at this age.

Also who would be required to pay for the airfare?
He is the one moving so I don’t think it would be fair to ask me to pay for any part of it.
