    Default Shoplifting in Florida

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

He stole gel and a hair dye and got caught. He's in so much depression and he is 19. I was wondering what kind of charges will be placed on him and if he needs an attorney. And if he is charged of fine how much would it be?

If he has been charged, the charging instrument should identify the charge against him. if not, we can't tell you if he will be charged; but if he is it's reasonable to expect him to be charged with either petit or grand theft under Florida Statute 812.014, depending upon whether we're talking about a tube of hair gel or a case of it.

He would benefit from consulting a criminal defense lawyer, and can probably get a free or cheap initial consultation.
