Absentminded, I work in LP and have gone to court many times but rarely testify. The reason for that is the guilty ones KNOW it and make a deal for a lesser charge. I've never gone to court on an innocent person, maybe it was the way I was trained or my own standards but it doesn't happen that way. I'm guessing the LP's were young and don't have much experience in doing their job so they played the game to cover the fact that maybe they shouldn't have stopped you for theft in the first place. I know this will sound corny as hell but I'm a firm believer that 'right wins out over wrong'. Honestly it's a crap shoot on fighting this but if you're in the right you gotta do what you gotta do. A smart lawyer should be able to find a weak spot in this case, good luck.
