Default Their Son Murdered My Daughter

My question involves grandparents rights in the State of: FL
My husband and I are trying to get custody of our 2 and 3 year old grandchildren. Their mother (my daughter) was murdered by their father on Nov 9, 2008. He made a plea for second degree murder and received 25years on Feb 10.2009. The grandchildren are with the paternal grandparents at this time because he gave his parental rights to his mother before being arrested. I have a lawyer and I have visitaton but I want to have full custody and adopt them. There is a status hearing on Mar 24, and I would like to know if there is anything I can do to help me get custody. There is also a chance that the paternal grandparent helped in assisting with helping their son try to conceal evidence. The father (my daughters husband) put my daughter's body in the ocean after he had beat her and strangled her.

If you have retained counsel, the best thing you can do is exactly what the good counselor tells you to do. S/he has all the facts of your situation.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Good luck, and gods shelter you on your journey.
