    Default Reopening Old Claims

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: California

I had an unemployment insurance claim approved back in May of '08 and collected one check before I was lucky enough to find work. I informed the State I had started work and cancelled the rest of my claim. The new job I aquired however was temporary work and I was an independant contractor during the job (which is ending next month). I know I can't file a claim for insurance under my current job because of it's nature but will I be able to re-open my older claim which I hardly collected on?

    Thanks for any info!

Apply and find out if you qualify. You haven't given us enough information to give you a solid answer.
