    Question FWE Dillemma

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida

My problem concerns my girlfriend, she went to the mall with two friends and went into an FWE Store. Right as they left one friend was caught shop lifting; About $370 worth of CD's/DVD's or so I heard. She honestly didn't know her friend was doing this. My GF's bag was searched and nothing turned up, and her other friend had nothing. They took the shop lifter to the police station while my GF and her other friend got a Citation for court and signed a form that they wouldn't be able to return to the said mall for a year.

They were both unaware of another persons actions, they didn't steal only this one friend did. What really worries me is that they will be charged as an accomplice.. and the charges look like grand theft for the shop lifter.

The court appearance takes place a month from now, it didn't get to the point of an arrest or bail for my GF and her friend. Only a citation was given
    So what can I expect?

    Edit they are not minors

Thanks to everyone who reads/replies and being a 1st time poster I wish it was due to better circumstances

What can you expect? Nothing. This has nothing to do with you, the police are not going to release any information to you and neither will the court.

    Your girlfriend
, OTOH, needs to have a sit down with an attorney, who can help ensure that she will not be brought up on charges as an accomplice. One should never go to court without representation, even when innocent. ESPECIALLY when innocent.
