Hey If I married someone and was saving $3000 per month I would gladly pay and extra $1000 a month, Id still be $2000 ahead.

Just like the law that says if I was to increase my income she would be entitled to more support right? Well she has increased her income because she has less expenses (just not normal wage income)... can you agree with that even though i know it doesnt fit the legal standard? Just saying this should be a consideration,

Look I know Im screwed... the system is a mess... I just hate that the money I give in child support doesnt all get used to support my children... and if you dont see this as a problem then you obviously dont have to pay child support and dont get it.

If you pay $2000 tax free every month and 80% of medical bills, the children should have decent shoes and a baseball glove when they need one.

And shouldnt there be a accounting... seems fair to me... if I was getting $2k tax free Id gladly give an accounting (I guess you wouldnt if you were spending most of it on yourself instead of your kids).
I understand your frustration, but the laws just don't work the way you think they should. BTW- at one time I did pay CS, and I am married to a man who paid CS. It's frustrating as heck when we watched my hubby's son fail in school, when his mother had the money to pay for a tutor, but, legally nothing could be done to force her to do so.

In FL it is possible to ask for an order for the CP to accvount for how the CS is spent. HOWEVER, that is only for cases where the children are homeless, aren't getting enough food, or are not getting thier basic needs met. Your situation does NOT qualify.

there are intangibles that are difficult, if not impossible to quantify that your support goes towards. Try factoring in all the expenses to raise a child. Then complain about it ain't fair. Do you figure in the gas and car use it takes to run the child around? The utitlities is costs to keep the child warm and in light?

I have the same expenses and have to pay most of hers too... why doesnt the law look at that. I drive them to games, I take them on vacations, I drive them to school, I have to A/c my home, keep the lights and Xbox humming.... my new place is only 2/3s the size of hers...

But hey, I have three beautiful sons who will understand these laws way better than I did...

    Thanks for your replies! Everyone!
