    Default Assault in Ohio

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio

I have assault charges filed on me in the state of Ohio, here is what is going on. On Dec. 2nd of 2008 My girlfriend and I got into an argument not a phyical one!
I was drinking she called her mom and stepdad to come and pick her up, we live together, when her parents come into the house. they started getting into my face and yelling at me right in my face. I was still drinking cause i was upset. well it came down to them (her step-father) calling the local police. they showed up. at the time i was very drunk and wanting to commit sucide. they cops were going to take me to the hospital. as they were escorting me to the cop car i pushed her step-dad. the police asked him if he wanted to press charges and he said no! Now on Feb 10th charges were filed and i now have a warrent out for my arrest. My girlfriends parents say that they had nothing to do with this. I got a copy of the police report on it, it has the wrong name and address of the step-dad and the person listed on the police report is someone i have never met or even heard of. i am turning myself in on Monday and i am looking for any info that might help me. if the police report is wrong can they still charge me? please help i am lost as to what to do

Don't turn yourself in without an attorney. Just don't.

Let the attorney argue that the police report is wrong.
