Default Employer is Saying I Do Not Qualfy for Salary

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Indiana

After 4 years my employer is saying that he has to put me on hourly because by law I don't qualify to be a saliered employee. Is this true

How would we know? You haven't told us anything about your job. How could we know if it is true or not?

But I can tell you this. It is ALWAYS legal to make someone an hourly (non-exempt) employee. It is NOT always legal to pay them on a straight salaried basis. If there is any question whatsoever as to whether you qualify as exempt or not, hourly is the safe way to go.
