Emancipating in New York

So I'm sixteen and will be seventeen in just a few short months. I have a job and am still in school. My brother and I want to get an apartment together when I turn seventeen, as he will be eighteen. There's just so much going on at home that I should not have to deal with. I know there are no emancipation laws in New York state, so I'm wondering if I will be able to do this. What do I have to do in order to get my own place? Can my parents say anything about me moving out at seventeen?

If mom and/or dad say no, you stay where you are.

They can say a lot of things about it. What they will actually say is anyone's guess.
