    Default Meeting Rate

My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Illinois

We have several different pay structures for non-exempt staff; salary, hourly and commission.

When we have a mandatory meeting, can we assign a flat meeting rate to pay all staff?

    Default Re: Meeting Rate

It's my understanding that you can, as long as the flat rate is no less than minimum wage times the number of hours the meeting lasts.

But let me confirm that with my payroll expert before you act on it.

Would this be during work hours or is this in addition to the regular work week? It might make a difference for the salaried non-exempts.
