Hello,
Tonight I will be attending a town meeting to request that they pave Francis St. which is the township's right of way that leads to parking spaces for both myself and my neighbor. (I am in PA)
Currently, Francis St. is a rutted, dirt road that goes up a very steep hills with a lot of run-off and washout. In the wintertime, neither my neighbor or I even attempt to drive up it and we must park across the street. I actually end up parking about 2 blocks away!
If there were ever a fire in our home or if we ever required ambulance services - there is absolutely NO way that a fire engine or even an ambulance could get in and out.
I have the feeling that the township is going to refuse to have this road paved or keep it maintained and I wanted to know if there are any other talking points that I should bring up, laws that are on my side for the maintenance of public roads, etc.
Also, I don't know if it is pertinent or not, but my neighbors deed states that his property runs along side the "yet unopened portion of Francis St." which implies that they DID at least at one time, prepare to pave it and connect with with another road that runs behind our properties.
Thank you in advance! Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!
