My question involves criminal law for the state of: Connecticut
If I was pulled over for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt... (which I WAS, but the officer pulled up on me as I was getting out of my car to go into a business, in the pitch dark of night) AND I am able to be found NOT GUILTY of this charge
WOULD the eventual seach for, and discovery of drugs, be then subject to supression of evidence, as they were a result of a search due to a charge for which I was effectively NOT GUILTY????
in other words, does the whole drug case become invalid if the original charge is dismissed? (fruit of the poison tree, as they say)![]()
