    Default When Politicians Neglect Duties

In Ohio, what does it take to make a politician do his job? When it is a clerk and he is using our money excessively because he is paying huge amounts for audits.

I don't know about other states, but we were told there is not much we can do. A private citizen has to find an attorney and pay out of his pocket, then get fifteen percent of the voters to vote the man out.

I can't even find how to discipline a clerk for not balancing books.

    HELP!!

I assume you are talking about an elected Clerk of Courts.

IF you have credible evidence of public funds being stolen, etc. notify the Police or County Prosecutor.

If we are talking non criminal malfeasance, nonfeasance, or misfeasance that may be another matter.

Many inept politicians who are only borerline legal answer to the voters, but until then, unless conduct is so egregious a Court will step in when a suit is filed, they continue to hold office.

If you are asking why civil servants are, typically, neither, we cannot answer the question.

Further, removing one from their job is usually more troublesome than a stump in the front yard.

The system is set up, to a degree, to protect it's own.

Ya know... I just hit my thumb with a hammer.

My kids were asking me why I was jumping around the living room screaming "that hurts like a blueeagle".

    Of course I am.
