Default Being Passed Over for Promotion

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: North Carolina

In july i relocated from michigan to nc for my job. Before accepting the position we were told any open positions would be open to current employees first. Initially the wages were posted that was being offered so i applied to several jobs that i fit for and i never got calls back. later we found out the online system was flawed and most applications went into some sort of a black hold. Before i left i did get a call and when calling the person back i was going to set an appointment for the next week the person never called me back and when i called the nc office the person could not be found. so i went to management in michigan and nothing ever happend. Fast forward my second day in NC i was mentoring new people when the new manager calls me into his office tells me that i need to ask the people from NC where they shop and get their hair done and go to the same places. I was so upset i cried. A few days later he tells me that i will never go to a new position in the company because this is not michigan. (I was the only black person in michigan and i moved to nc where my new manager is black.)

So i've been here just over 6 months on my manager's encouragement i applied for supervisor. I was already doing the postion because they were short staffed. I even got to do payroll. For 2 weeks i asked him if a decision had been made he ignored me or said no. finally i heard a rumer someone had been hired. someone who had been with the company as a new hire for a month so i emailed the manager and asked .. and got no response then i saw the new person move into the desk i had been occupying. I asked why i was not hired and he said oh i told *** to tell you and this was someone who was fired. but he never told me why. since then i have applied to every job that has opend and have been passsed over for them all. the people they hire i have to train. the supervisor hired over me still doesnt know how to do payroll. and 3 are still going through training. i signed a year contract and i know im not gonna make it im alreay planning to move

Are you saying you believe you are being discriminated against in regard to promotions & if so, why do you think you are?

You really didn't ask a question as cyjeff noted.
