    Default Maritime Injury

i was working in alaska on a fish processing barge that was docked fulltime. i worked, ate, and lived on the ship. the ship didnt move but was floating on water indefinitely. Could this be a Jones Act?

Default Jones Act - Definition of Seaman

What were the nature of your duties - that is, were they maritime in nature? Did they further the mission of the vessel?

Thank you for replying. My duties were as a crab processor for a crab barge. the crab trawlers would come to us to process their crab and tie up to us.

It isn't immediately clear that the services you provide related to any maritime activities of the vessel, which is a prerequisite for Jones Act coverage. That is, although technically working on a docked ship, this seems to effectively be a shore-based duty. Have you investigated this with any law firms yet?
