    Default No Scheduled Court Date

My question involves criminal law for the state of: NJ
My 17 daughter was charged with shoplifting a $52 item in early December 08, we were told that the case would be forwarded to junivelle court. We still have not received any information or date for appearance from them. Do you know if it normally takes this long to hear from them?

Default Re: No Scheduled Court Date

It depends on the court's docket. If the court is busy, and a lot of juvenile courts are very busy, and your daughter has a clean record other than this incident, she's going to be a low priority. (Every crime you can think of that is prosecuted in adult court - they deal with in juvenile court as well.)
