Default Use of Cars During Divorce

My question involves divorce in the State of: Michigan

This sounds so petty, but if a couple are going through divorce, can one party insist on using the other's car? My husband owns 3 cars (purchased during our marriage, but his name on the title, not mine) and all 3 are two-seaters. Sometimes he needs to be able to transport himself and our two kids various places, and he insists that he can use my car (also purchased during the marriage, but only my name on the title).

I wouldn't normally be such a bitch about something trivial, but he's making threats almost daily, and I'm fed up with it all.

Talk to your lawyer about getting a court order giving you exclusive use of your car, and him exclusive use of his car(s), pending the final resolution of the divorce.
