Got caught shoplifting and feel really embarassed
It happend at Kohls in NJ. The total woth of items
    was around 50$.

I coperated and signed the papers they gave me
and they agreed not to call the cops

However they told me i will get a civil demand in the mail
and if i dint pay they would press charges

Now my concern is although they said they wont file
charges they took all information from my id
would they still go and file charges ? whats kohls policy

secondly they took address from my id but i dont stay
there anymore. can anybody tell me whats their lawyers
detail and who to call to pay off the civil demamd
f so as not to go to court. How can i know
when they will send the letter since i have moved from
    previous place last month

please any help is appreciated .. im am feeling really sorry about what i did
and want to make ammend and never to do it again

You were told that if you pay the civil demand, they won't press charges. If they're not lying to you, then if you pay the civil demand they won't press charges.

If the issue is that you moved after you were caught, consider calling the LP office at the store and informing them of your new address.
