My question involves real estate located in the State of: Illinois. I am not even sure which category of law my issue would fit under. Here is the situation. There is a 2 lane highway located behind our backyard fence. The city is expanding it to a 4 lane highway. Currently, there is a rotting, fence that the homeowner's association put up 10 years ago that anyone driving by can see over. Those of us who live along the fence want the city to erect either a retention wall or a higher fence. The state are saying this is not an option. What can we do?
